Vacation Part 6: Omaha Barbeques on Independence Day!

Oh to be reunited with family again. The whole vacation was spent house hopping so as to be able to see so much family. We couldn't have been happier to do it. Seeing all his relatives made Matt really miss them. Miss being able to just go to Grandma and Grandpa Ward's home for a game night, etc. He really is related to amazing people.
On the morning of Independence Day, we said goodbye to my sister, brother-in-law, and niece and nephews. We then met up with LeGrand and Russell for the Provo parade. After the parade we traveled to Bountiful to be with Uncle David and Aunt Lorene. When we bid adieu there, we trekked to Sandy for the evening's events at Uncle Ron and Aunt Susan' home.
Here is Luke meeting Grandma Ward for the first time. He was crying I think, so Matt gave him his car keys to calm himself:
Meeting Grandpa Ward now:

Dinner was delicious! Shortly after we got home from vacation the boys were asked what their favorite part was. Zeke said cake and ice cream. I don't blame him! We ate it two or three times that week.

Anyway, many aerial fireworks are apparently legal in Utah now. So the show performed in "The Cul-de-Sac of Fire" was very impressive.

Here is Zeke trying to enjoy it from indoors, as it made him seriously freak out:

Guess Zeke tried to be a bit more brave. Gwen fell asleep shortly after the show started:

I guess the pictures end here. It was a great night.
We traveled to Aunt Kathryn and Uncle Eric's lovely home in Saratoga Springs, that night. There we spent the final two nights of our Utah getaway.
