My Heart is still beating!!!!

I just called the Rush Limbaugh program. Didn't know how to summarize in as few words as to keep Snerdley interested. But I am still very heated about it and my heart is still beating quite rapidly, so I need to write!

On the Drudge Report, I saw an article about an abused dog. Some quotes from the story are as follows: "He is a tremendous fighter," "There are very few animals, or any life form, that could have gone through and survived what he has, and really never looked back." "Everyone thought that, you bring in an animal like that, that looks like it's really just a corpse, you put it to sleep," "But of course, he looked up at you with those eyes, and you say: How can you give up on this dog? How can you, when he's not giving up on life? So, we gave him that second chance, and he has just run with it, and thrived."

My heart goes out to this animal. One of God's creatures treated like the nothing that it's owner believed it to be.
But the proceedings infuriate me like nothing I have felt for some time. Babies. How many babies are murdered in the protective environment of their mother's womb? How many, if we look into their eyes, would we deny their will to live?

The article says, "Kisha Curtis of Newark was charged with two fourth-degree offenses for "tormenting and torturing" an animal by failing to provide food and water, prosecutors said. The charges could carry a maximum jail sentence of 18 months and a fine of up to $10,000. She also faces two abandonment charges punishable by up to six months in jail with a $1,000 fine.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? After an abortion takes place, what happens? A woman goes home getting off scott free (excuse the expression) for the ending of a child's life! Mind you, I speak solely of immediate consequences based on laws of the land. She will not feel so free with a loss like that nor will she escape the answering of it at the bar of judgment. But that is a topic for another day.

What is our world coming to?

"Now, the dog that prosecutors say had been left for dead has been inundated with adoption offers.

The Essex County courthouse has received more than 600 letters and faxes from around the world expressing concern for the dog and urging swift and harsh punishment for Curtis. The hospital ordered 500 thank-you cards with Patrick's picture to mail to those who sent collars, dog shirts, toys, scrapbook pages or dog blankets embroidered with Patrick's name, and it is fast running out."

And what do we do for our dead?

Ridiculous.

Hi Maggie, I totally agree with you. Of course because its legalized murder. And especially because of how hard and expensive it is to adopt children. Whats wrong with our country that we let abortions be so easy/ affordable to obtain and not adoptions? Why are we not incentifying women/ girls to give their babies up for adoption instead of aborting? Its absurd. Good for you for speaking up.
