Well Read and Potty hardy

I don't really know if Zeke needed extra motivation, but we introduced to him the idea that for every 10 lessons he completed in his reading book, he earned a dollar. In the end he had $10.

He had been saving his money in this jar

We are helping him understand tithing, although we forgot to pay it today, but anyway, he got to go to the store and pick out toys! He has had his heart set on Buzz or Woody from Toy Story, but because we didn't go buy them when we should have, all that merchandise was wiped out to make room for Cars 2. Oops. But he had isles of toys to choose from, so he wasn't too devastated.

Ah! Why do they have to grow up? Because they take more pride in themselves, and we in them, with each experience of growth! My joy just fills up.

Reid has been potty training for seven days. He has had accidents every day but one, but still low numbers. He already tells us when he has got to go for the most part. He even forgets he has a diaper at nighttime and insists on going then too. What I think is funny is that you find out just how strong a two year old's bladder can be when they start to realize they'd rather do anything than sit on a toilet or get themselves wet. Reid can go for hours! But those waits usually end successfully. SO PROUD!
